Sometimes we get grief for posting pictures of Paulina Gretzky, who is only tangentially related to sports thanks to her awesome hockey father and good golfer husband and smokin’ bod.

Well, if the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition (NSFW) wasn’t enough to prove that even upscale magazines like to get down and dirty for the sake of dollar signs, here’s Golf Digest getting into the ol’ boobs business:

“Sports figures, celebrities and models have appeared on Golf Digest covers since the magazine’s beginning,” Golf Digest Editor-in-Chief Jerry Tarde said. “Paulina ranks at the high end of the golf celebrity scene today, and she has a compelling story to tell. She also might get some new people interested in the game.”

When she’s not busy soliciting dates with Justin Bieber, up-and-coming ATP star Eugenie Bouchard is practicing black magic at an ivory alter, shrouded in blood and Andre Dawson jerseys.

Ok, maybe she’s not THAT serious about the Expos returning to Montreal — but she certainly seems nostalgic for that ten-year slice of her life when Canada’s other baseball team still roamed the Earth.

The 20-year-old Quebec-native tweeted out this simple plea to get the best logo in baseball back in circulation, on the heels of a Mets-Jays game played at ye olde Olympic Stadium (perhaps the coolest stadium in baseball, as well).


We feel your pain and will hereafter urge any and all Rays executives we speak with to move the team from North America’s most American city to North America’s most European city, but only because we like you so damn much.

The actual chances at a return are anyone’s guess, though former manager Felipe Alou seems to think there’s a reason for Genie to be hopeful. “It’s 50/50, that’s what I hear,” Alou told reporters before the exhibitions in Montreal two weeks ago. “But after these two games it will probably go over 50/50.”

If Curb Your Enthusiasm has taught us anything, it’s when you sit courtside at an NBA game, try to stay out of the action. Larry famous tripped Shaq by stretching his legs out a bit too far.

Similarly, by rocking a very thin tank top, Rihanna may have tripped players’ focuses (lord knows she got the internet’s attention).

Now let’s not beat around the bush here: You can very clearly see her nipples. There, we said it. And one of them happens to have a barbell through it. We said that, too. Everyone from Getty to USA Today to some guy sitting next to her were compelled to snap photos of her very thin, probably expensive, but mostly very thin, white tank top.

It helps if you grab your chest and basically vogue as much as possible. Brent Musburger drooling over you is optional. I don’t know how I missed this at the time, but apparently we have a new viral sexpot sensation from a recent major sporting event. Here’s Rebecca Grant, who was spotted in the stands at Game 7 of the Warriors-Clippers game in LA, doing whatever hot TV wannabe models do. And now she’s a major thing.

Who is Rebecca Grant? She’s a print ad and magazine model who sometimes appears on Fox Sports shows. International Business Times:

Grant, a New York native and graduate of the University of New York at Buffalo, worked alongside Greg Proops as a host of Fox Sports World before furthering her television career on shows such as “Throut and Neck,” “NFL Under the Helmet” and “Truck Shop.” She has also modeled in major print and TV ad campaigns for companies like Budweiser, Coors and Keystone. Grant has also appeared in Maxim and FHM magazines.

Somehow I don’t think we’ll be seeing her in an upcoming episode of “Cosmos”, however:

Sochi Alpine skier Jackie Chamoun probably didn’t think the topless photoshoot she did for a sexy ski calendar would cause an international incident. Well…

[Daily Mail] Topless pictures of a Lebanese Olympic skier competing at the Sochi Winter Olympics have prompted calls for a ministerial inquiry in Beirut after they were leaked online…

‘All I can ask to each of you who saw this is to stop spreading it, it will really help me focus on what is really important now: my training and race.’

But the apology has not placated everyone, with Lebanon’s Youth and Sports Minister Faisal Karami calling on Tuesday for an investigation into the photos to ensure ‘the protection of Lebanon’s reputation.’

The Lebanese Olympic Committee was met yesterday afternoon to discuss the issue, and the head of the country’s Olympic delegation said Chamoun had been barred from speaking to the media.

Come on, everyone’s doing it! (Posing nude for calendars, that is.) We guess some countries are just more embarrassed than other when it comes to their citizens’ perfect boobs.

Halep (6-4, 6-0) and Bouchard (6-3, 6-4) both advanced this morning at the All England Club, and will play each other Thursday for a spot in the final on Saturday against the Czech Republic’s Lucie Safarova or Petra Kvitova, playing in the other semifinal match.
